Relaxation Day

Our

Our

Lakefront View

Some of our guests used this day to paddle through the choppy lake waters in rented kayaks, others hopped on boats for village tours around Lake Atitlán. Some swam in the lake while others stayed curled up with a book and a view. That evening, a small crew soaked in the cliffside hot tub, stoked with firewood, under the stars. We had dinner at the hotel and kept things simple.

The hotel offered to rent kayaks for the morning. The water was incredibly choppy and difficult to navigate. We may have a couple topple over, but was incredibly worth it.

Lake Atitlan

Along the edges of the hotel, there was a spot to go plunge into the water. We took turns diving in.

Some chose to just enjoy the scenery or watch as others dived into the water. We congregated along the edge and bathed in the sun to dry off.

After a day of swimming, we reserved the hot tub which was heated by a wood-burning stove overlooking the lake.
